
Michael is from Jackson, Mississippi, and would consider himself a southern belle! He loves to cook and share the soul food of his culture, and he would love to talk your ear off about his southern roots and his favorite foods.
Michael Reed is a current BFA student at Penn State Musical Theatre. Regional theatre credits include Little Shop of Horrors (Audrey II) at Tibbits Opera House and at Coeur D’Alene Summer Theatre, Rent (Benny) at Tibbits Opera House, Forever Plaid (Sparky) at Tibbits Opera House, and Kinky Boots (Angel/ U.S. Lola) at Duluth Playhouse. His favorite Penn State credits include Hit the Wall (Carson), Love’s Labour’s Lost the Musical (The King), and Sweeney Todd (Ensemble/ U/S Sweeney Todd).
The way that Michael Reed encountered theatre is a story of miracles and blessings. He truly believes that this art form can heal and change the world just as it has healed and blessed him. He strives to uplift audiences and inspire them to tell stories of all kinds. Michael believes that kindness and courageousness will get you far and hopes that he can continue that principle in all of his endeavors.
